We were struggling to find and hire a right person for our stair railing project and was lucky to find Jeremy. He did a great job and we are satisfied with his work which was done within our budget. He is very professional and flexible. He wont close the project, until we are satisfied. We were always worried how this project will come up as the existing stair walls need be remodeled with stair railing but with his experience and guidance, it came very well and we are enjoying it.

Jeremy was really great to have work on our project back in Oct/Nov 21’. He was incredibly responsive and we had great communication all throughout the project. He actually went outside of his normal realm of only work on stairs and did a snowball of a project for me. I had an entryway with a landing. That landing connected my front door, closet, and two sets of stairs. He removed the landing, lowered the front door and closet and did a complete overhaul of both sets of stairs, including a new rail. To be a bit more specific, he did the entire demo, repatched the floor to color match the already existing hardwood floor, reframed the front door and installed new doors (which I had purchased earlier), reframed the closet door and reinstalled the old closet door, removed the old stairs and put in a new, more solid treads, and then created a new railing a base post for the stairs. Lots of work. Like mentioned before, he only does stairs but was gracious enough to take on this full project. I had separate contractors take care of removing an exterior entry step, drywall patches, and new carpeting. I later stained and finished a stairs to a different color. But all of the work Jeremy did was great and at a very reasonable price. If I were to have any complaints it would be that he’s a VERY sought after contractor and therefore was juggling several projects on top of mine which made for occasional clarifying of certain portions of the project because he would get them mixed up with other jobs he was working on.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
My dad was always known as the only finish carpenter in the family out of six boys. After he passed away I chose to be the best finish carpenter to make him proud, and have been working and honing my skill since I was 16. I have no doubt he would be proud.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I committed to a kitchen remodel where my client stated her kitchen felt small and dark. I began suggesting ideas that hadn’t been though of at that point. We ended up removing the pantry closet, removing the adjacent wall and door to the secondary laundry room (she used the one down stairs and this was empty space) and turned it into a butler pantry. This opened the whole house up, leaving her with an open kitchen, extra space and storage, and a homey atmosphere. It is alway going to be a favorite project.
