When will I be able to start getting leads?
Categories will be available to customers starting on May 27th, 2025, and any pro that has targeting turned on for auto categories will be eligible to begin receiving leads then.
Why are there only mobile services available?
Mobile services (where the pro comes to the customer’s location, typically a home or office) offer a convenient option for our customers, and a growing segment for our pros. We are not currently offering in-shop auto services on Thumbtack.
How do I activate targeting for these auto categories?
When you set up your job types, you’ll answer a few questions. Your answers help us understand what type of work you do so we can match you with the right customers.
On the app:
Open the Thumbtack Pro app.
From the main menu, tap Services.
Scroll down and tap “Add new service.”
Search for one of the auto categories listed above.
Read over the questions and select the options you're interested in.
Tap Save.
On desktop:
Go to your Services.
Search for one of the auto categories listed above.
Tap Next to move through each question.
After going through all questions, tap Save.
* Offer details: First 10 free leads are limited to Auto Services where targeting is added before 9/20/2025. No transfer, assignment, cash redemption, or substitution of the leads is permitted. Free leads expire 6/20/2026.
