What do you enjoy about the work you do?

Mostly, I am working on something different all the time... yes, when I am making 300 of something, it can get a little boring, but it will change next week, or the week after...

Yep, I just go to work everyday...and keep learning...the wood is a good teacher...

Now that requires an answer to long to write here, let's talk sometime...
What types of customers have you worked with?
I am able to create new, or replicate from drawings, sample, photos, etc, any parts required for the restoration, of, or new construction of, stair baluster/newels, porche baluster/newel/post or column, including hand rails, if need be. I also produce furniture parts or any required wood turnings..after all, that is what I do, for some 30+ years now...
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Victorian style, Solid walnut, bed posts and stretcher rail... or perhaps the pair of hiking sicks I made for a friend...or the pair of candlesticks that went to an architects collection, in Chicago...yeah, I like what I do, hope it shows...
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Frankly, there are not many woodturners left doing this kind of work, we are living dinosaurs. This shop specializes in small production runs and one-offs...this works for the home owner of wood shop that may need only a limited amount of a particular item...small is beautiful...
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Not much, this is a business deal, but you can come, set in a chair and talk all you want...my hobby is 18th Century re-enacting and I surely can talk about that some...
