My first encounter with Chelsea herself was excellent! I am getting updates through email from the company, and I received my vocal warm up which I've been practicing whenever I have the opportunity ....those are great! I've only had one lesson thus far so I really cannot evaluate my instructor except to say she's extremely pleasant, easy to work with, and she was punctual. My impression so far is that Voice by Chelsea is a well-organized and professional company. I've never had voice lessons before so I'm eager to see how this goes. I did look at one other company and while they offered a free lesson (which I really appreciated), it was just an individual and it appeared they did not have the resources that Voice by Chelsea has. It would be unfair to fully evaluate either company without having used their services for a while.

Although I have only had one lesson so far with Chelsea, I automatically knew that I am going to learn a great deal from her. She knows what she is doing, and is very knowledgeable. Just from my first lesson with her, I found out a lot about my voice. She has already provided me with a lot of insight. The one thing I was looking for in a vocal coach is honesty and commitment, which Chelsea is both of. She is very optimistic and makes you feel completely comfortable right away. You can really tell she loves what she does, I am looking forward to continuing lessons!

For my first lesson, I felt very nervous in the beginning mainly because I'm new to this kind of activity and never done a singing lesson in my life. However, while moving forward with the lesson, I started to feel more comfortable even if I made several mistakes. The instructors are very easygoing and feel more than happy to work with people like me who have no experience with singing. After my first lesson, without a doubt, I signed up for more lessons in the future to improve. I look forward to continuing them.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We schedule the first lesson to be sure you like it and it’s a good fit, then we send a follow up email with all of our options and get you a regular spot in lessons with us!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In addition to being a very experienced voice teacher, the owner Chelsea is a professional performer and musician. She has learned from famous teachers such as Jan Smith (known for teaching Usher, Bieber, Keisha Cole, Rob Thomas, etc) and William Riley (known for teaching Whitney Houston and Celine Dion). In addition to studying with world famous vocal teachers, she has extensive experience singing and songwriting - both on stage and in the recording studio. Chelsea ensures all of her teachers are passionate, knowledgeable, and experienced. Every teacher at Voice by Chelsea gives 150% to their students, making for a fun learning experience during classes. What types of customers have you worked with?
We have students from all over the country, and teach online via Zoom. We have been blessed to work with an array of students of all ages, from beginners wanting a fun creative outlet to professionals pursuing careers! Our students typically stay with us for years, and really do become part of our studio family!
