Our wedding was AMAZING in large part due to Marylyn and Chef Manny. From the first phone call to the day of the event, Marylyn was nothing short of a joy to work with. She gave it to us straight every step of the way and communicated openly with us. She made sure she worked within our budget and delivered a fantastic menu including unique dishes not typical of the standard caterer like Moroccan spiced salmon and buffalo cauliflower bites. I have gluten and egg food allergies and was so relieved to have an exciting menu that I could indulge in as well! We felt completely confident after our tasting and couldn't stop raving about how good the food was! Marylyn organized our wedding buffet set up for 200 people seamlessly, and her spirit and energy made the entire experience wonderful. We will definitely be using Juste Hor D'Oeuvres for future events and truly cannot thank Marylyn, Manny and the rest of the team enough for everything!

From the start of the planning process, Marylyn and Manny were wonderful. Marylyn was clear about her pricing and we went through our event and the menu. When we went for the tasting we were surprised at how good the food actually was and that sealed the deal. I was nervous the day of the event because the wedding was held at a private inn and the entire bridal party was off-site when the caterers arrived but, thankfully, there was no need to be. Manny, his sous chef, the servers, and the bartender were all set up, cooking, and ready when we returned. The servers, Vic and Jill, were extremely professional, friendly, and helpful. The food, like at the tasting, was amazing. Very well seasoned, fish and beef cooked perfectly and everything on the buffet hot. I would use them at another event in a heartbeat and I cannot thank Marylyn, Manny, and their staff for delivering on exactly what they promised.

Marylyn and her team were AWESOME to work with as we prepared for our daughter’s wedding rehearsal dinner!! Marylyn was incredibly helpful in the menu selection as well as planning for the rental needs for the event. On the evening of the rehearsal dinner, Marylyn and her team EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS in their preparation and service throughout the evening. The food was perfectly prepared and served – enjoyed by all! Marylyn and Juste Hors D’Oeuvres Catering will be tops on my list for future gatherings in the Hudson Valley! JI

Wedding and Event Catering

Marylyn was simply amazing when it came to helping me with my upcoming wedding. She is so down to earth, straight forward & really cares about you & what you would like. She also helps with saving you the most $ & comparing prices from chairs/linens to flowers to entertainment. She really knows what she’s doing & did not disappoint. I definitely look forward to working with her in the future for other parties. The menu was also perfection!!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Pricing should be customized to the clients' budget parameters. We are not an "off-the-shelf" catering company with prices for set packages. We feel that there are too many hidden costs in packages. Every proposal we make is broken down into the main components. This gives clients the ability to make financial decisions from a place of knowledge. Menus are developed in consultation with our clients. When we understand their wants and needs, we are empowered to work diligently to create a perfect and affordable event!

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    Personalized consultation is the key to a perfect event. By chatting with my prospects and asking some key questions, together we are able to hone in on the perfect mix of wants and needs and develop the right budget parameters. As catering pros, there are times we suggest options to our clients that they would not have thought of themselves often resulting in the saving of time and money! While we all love social media and e-mail, neither are the right way to plan a perfect event!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    Our Chefs, Bartenders and other Staff are highly experienced. I spent many years as a teacher then a VP in a Fortune 500 company. It is the combination of exemplary cooking and planning coupled with savvy business prowess that built this business into a thriving success. We are the pros ready to assist you at every turn!!!
