I worked with Jen for a number of years. She was conscientious, knowledgeable, very aware of each client’s needs and she was always willing to work with you at a time that met your individual needs. When I first started training with Jen 5 months ago, I was looking for a little kick in the butt to get my exercise routine more regular and challenging. A kick in the butt I got! I had never really lifted weights before, and now Jen has me hooked. Her attention to form has ensured that I continually see results without injury. She's creative at coming up with new workouts so I never get bored, and responsive to my feedback on the types of workouts I enjoy (and even what type of music I prefer for my sessions). She is always accommodating, generous, and funny - but also tough! She goes above and beyond, writing up custom workouts for me that I can do on my own and taking extra time to discuss diet, etc. It's never been a problem to switch my session to another time when I have a scheduling conflict. She's always ready to start punctually - or even a few minutes early if she doesn't have a client before me. Once I felt nauseous partway through a session and she went next door to get me an orange juice, then stayed extra to make up for the lost time. When I was trying to choose a protein powder, she brought me a sample of hers to taste before I bought a whole container of my own. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I offer 30 minute and 60 minute sessions in packages of 6,12, 24, and 48. With a larger package, you get savings. For example, 60 minute sessions range from $65 to $56. The first session is always free of charge!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?The complimentary session starts with a discussion of your goals, exercise history, any limitations or issues you may have, etc. Then you will have an assessment, which is actually a basic workout that will show me what your stamina and strength levels are. I will find out exactly what level you are at, and how you should be trained. At the end of the session, you will decide what session package you would like to buy and we will set you up in my schedule!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified, TRX Certified (suspension straps), Exercise for Frail Elders Certified, and CPR/AED Certified. Every 2 years I take continuing education to renew my certification.
