Half a year ago when my husband and I were looking for a piano teacher for my 7 year old daughter who has never learned piano before, we were cautious and had quite a few discussions, as we think the first teacher has a big impact on new learners. And we were also a little worried she may find piano boring, which is kind of children's natural attitude toward something they regard as "not fun". We feel very lucky to find David. To say it based on our experience, he is really the best piano and music teacher we could expect. He is excellent in piano skills, and he has a systemic teaching schedule, which makes learning easier for beginners. Even better he is also a composer and he is very knowledgeable in music theory. I really appreciate that my daughter is able to learn how to play piano as well as some level of music theory at a younger age. Furthermore, he is so friendly and humorous, he has tremendous patience with kids, the lessons are so fun, and that goes really well with my daughter, who now thinks David is her teacher as well as friend. And he really cares for his little student! That being said, he is also a strict teacher with high expectations from his students. We are really happy of the progress my daughter has made in the past a few month, and that she is so interested in piano and keeps learning. We heartfully recommend David as piano/music teacher for similar-aged children.

Soooo... this is an unorthodox review because we actually never scheduled a lesson with Dave, BUT every single iota of communication with him was completely fantastic. He was super speedy in his responsiveness, incredibly thoughtful and thorough AND hilarious as well as personable. I would be scheduling a lesson for my 8 year old with him YESTERDAY if he was within a reasonable distance. My only bone to pick is with the data search engine in Thumbtack. Dave’s name came up as someone who would travel to my home to teach piano and that’s not actually true. Sigh. I’m totally bummed to say the least. I hope someone else can benefit from the pleasure of his responsiveness, thoughtfulness, professionalism and expertise!

Our daughter enjoyed many years of lessons on the piano with David Gleba. He is an excellent instructor, punctual, and instilled in her a deep love and appreciation for classical piano music. The pieces that he chose for her to practice were a;ways lovely to listen to as parents, but also fun for her to play as a student. We highly recommend this exceptional teacher.

Our son took classical piano lessons with Mr. Gleba for a number of years. A very talented pianist and composer, Mr. Gleba has a particularly good way with kids - makes piano interesting and fun, with a wicked sense of humor, but teaches in a true classical style. We highly recommend Mr. Gleba to anybody old or young who wants an accomplished and talented piano teacher.

Hands down, David is the BEST teacher I ever had the pleasure to deal with. His knowledge and understanding of the piano and classical music are astounding! Not only did I improve my piano skills, I also improved my history skills! David's patience and teachings made my time with him incredible! I look forward to the day when my children are old enough to learn from him as well! An absolute amazing experience! Thank you, David!
