Kara Perno is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher & Kids Yoga Teacher who has 15 years of extensive experience working with children, adult and families. Focusing on strengths to treat psychiatric and behavioral components influenced by: trauma, life crises and preexisting mental health conditions. She has provided services throughout a variety of environments including: Residential Treatment, EMPS-Emergency Crisis Psychiatric Mobile Services, IOP & Extended Day Treatment, Community Agencies, and Alternative/Public School Systems.
Kara has followed her passion in providing Mind, Body, and Soul Therapeutic Approaches to children, adults and families. Kara is a regular practitioner and has received intensive training in Mindfulness, Meditation, and Yoga. For those seeking a holistic approach, Inner Peace Creations offers "organic psychotherapy" involving a blend of mindfulness, meditation, breathwork and movement. Recent research has shown a direct correlation between the use of mindfulness based techniques with traditional therapy treatment approaches, and even when used alone with marked and sustained improvement in the areas of depression and anxiety.
