Introduction: As a music teacher, I bring skills to children and adults that are difficult to find outside of the fine arts. With music, we work on brain duality (using both sides of the brain at once), practice technique (working over and over on a topic), self-discipline and more. My favorite aspect of music education is seeing a student achieve what they thought they couldn't do. Music isn't easy; if it was, everyone would do it. It takes work and love to make music, and it's incredibly rewarding to see students achieve!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm also pursuing a Master's in Special Education, and plan on developing a curriculum for elementary school special education students who receive musical education!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When looking for a music teacher, make sure you find one who is willing to communicate with school professionals, as well as travel to any festival auditions. Also, if you're planning on having the teacher come to your house, have a space for them to work with the student. If you plan on traveling to the teacher, ensure they don't charge the same rate as in-home.
