Long time customer. Rick knows what he’s doing. People training for dogs. I feel I know better what is in my dog’s dna. Thanks Empire State K-9Sep 11, 2020Verified
Rick is great, person to person, and dog to dog. My Jack Russell is only partway through his training, but he is doing great so far and Rick wrote and said he really likes Coop.May 14, 2020Verified

Dasher is a 50lb., 1 yr 4month old coonhound. He was wild and untamed from the moment we picked him up at the shelter. From the moment Rick came to my house to pick Dasher up for his week long training, I started noticing the change in his attitude. Rick had total control over him from the moment he put him on the leash. It is incredible how different Dasher is after just a week with Rick. He doesn't even look at our cat in the house. He follows the commands Rick put in place and is able to lie on his dog bed without distraction. Before Rick trained Dasher, he would chew his beds, furniture and anything else he could get his mouth on, including your hands and fingers. He was so wild in the house that we had talks about bringing him back to the shelter several times within the 3 weeks we had him. He spent most of his day in the cage because of his crazy attitude. He has been home for 3 days now and the transformation is incredible. Never thought I would see this dog with the calm demeanor he has today. His walks also went from pulling and trying to chase other animals, to acting like they aren't even there as he walks on by. Thanks to Rick, Dasher will be a big part of our family for years instead of back at the shelter. I highly recommend Empire State K-9.Feb 5, 2019Verified
My 100+ pound Pitbull has been staying with Rick for the past few days and I have already seen improvement in the videos of my dog who is being trained on dog aggression. I am so thankful to have found Empire State K9 they have been nothing but friendly and helpful the whole way through.Jan 15, 2019Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Our pricing structure is not complicated at all. All prices are listed on our website at sandersk9.com. Costs for Service Animal, Guard Dog and hunting dog training are not listed. Those seeking specialized services must speak directly to the trainer for exact costs, which are based on the individual needs of the dog's owners.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?Working with dogs has been a passion since my childhood. Out of my 8 siblings, dogs were always drawn to me and I to them. After college, I decided to pursue training full time as my career and have never looked back. Now 40 years later, I have an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling career.
- What types of customers have you worked with? Our most common job is training that out-of-control, unruly family dog. Chewing, barking, housebreaking, jumping, digging, biting and fighting. Anything is remedied if trained with Empire State K-9 Training. I am also an aggression specialist so we handle any aggressive dog even those that other trainers have refused to train. ANY AGE - ANY BREED - RESULTS GUARANTEED!
