FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard portrait session are all customized to fit your needs and budget. I do have some packages created for those who cannot decide and also flexible to create a package designed to fit your needs. All my packages are open to change based on style, taste, location and an "a la carte" menu is provided to create your very own package based on preferences!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
New customers start with a chat by phone or text message or even email. Then i set up an in-person consult to view my portfolio and provide more information for the services they are interested in that i can provide and what they are seeking. Providing as much information as possible to show my clients they deserve the confidence they have in their photographer! Showing samples of my work and reviews from other clients is important. A sneak peek of their session is provided within a couple days, sometimes sooner. The images for standard portraits are then typically ready within a day or two in an online gallery, (weddings and events take longer) and then book an appointment to pick up their cd and ordered prints!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have lived with a camera in my hand since i was small child and then grew to be my passion! Through many online programs and videos, text books, art class in highschool, learning graphics through previous jobs. The "hands-on" mini portraits and weddings with family and friends with an old film camera from my younger years and countless printing albums. My current husband was a photographer that helped me with a bit of posing, lighting etc with film, then graduated to digital. I then found NYIP in which I learned much from- but what changed my whole perspective was from self learning through experience with people and changed my whole world! I continually find exciting new ideas through my clients old and new and things i whip up on my own too! There is ALWAYS something new to share and learn in this industry, between new gear, inspiring colleagues, and ideas that inspire me through all walks of life. I continue to keep growing!
