Amy has engaged my 8 y/o who typically resists reading and writing. She thoughtfully plans lessons and strategies which are very student centered. I also appreciate the interwoven social- emotional lessons that are a part of every session. My son has not complained about logging in for sessions and has said that he wants to continue working with her which is huge for a kid who is not fond of school work.

Amy is amazing!! She has such a bright, warm and calm energy that makes her students instantly feel at ease. Even though sessions are virtual, she was able to keep my son engaged and always looking forward to meeting. I love her mindfulness and breathing techniques that are interwoven with lessons.

Amy is beyond wonderful! We are so grateful to have found her. I don’t have the words to describe how amazing she with tutoring our 6 year old son with his reading. She’s patient, kind, understanding, and engaging. And I love her thoughtful integration of mindfulness and yoga. Our son will actually complete a full hour zoom lesson with her! And he has also improved substantially in his confidence in reading and letter recognition in the time he’s been with Amy. We will continue our lessons with Amy for the foreseeable future! Highly recommend her!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $100 per hour and offer discounts for purchasing 5 or 10 session packages in advance. I strongly recommend individual sessions at least 2x per week for struggling learners. In my experience, your child will thrive and look forward to our sessions!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Getting to know each other & chatting it up (text, phone call or video call) all about your child. This is a fun way to start to work together. I graciously offer a consult & assessment at no cost to you.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
-Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education -Advanced Children’s Mindfulness & Yoga Certification -Reading Recovery Certification -Over 20 years of service to children in a first grade public school inclusive classroom
