FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work with my potential clients budget. I take a great deal of time, effort and thought into preparing and conducting my photo sessions. Photography is a true passion for me, however it is additional income for my family so session length and edited photos will be determined on price point. However one of the many things that set me apart from other photographers is I am time efficient, prepare prior to the session and have an above average turnaround time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial consultation, via phone or video chat. I like to discuss ; location, setting, colors, wardrobe, props, expectations, reason for session, number of people/ages, budget and finished product options give suggestions if needed, offer references and links to view previous work. Through this business type "agenda" the conversation can lend itself to open discussions that will allow me as the photographer the potential tone, amount of preparation and ultimately how to conduct the session and gives me ideas for adaptation if necessary.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken a few photography courses, primarily to learn about new equipment and some on lighting and natural editing. Honestly, I believe experience is the best education. 10+ years of trial and error with my personal family photos, an additional 10 years of contracted sessions and bottom line my love and appreciation of photography, and the thousands of photos I own and treasure. A good photographer needs to be educated on technique but a photographer with passion for capturing a moment in time produces the best product!
