- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Weekly lessons / 60 min / $300 per month Weekly Lessons / 45 min /$250 per month Weekly Lessons / 30 min / $200 per month These mon they rates apply to 4-week and 5-week months. Prices can be higher or lower than this range for students who come multiple times per week, or those who come less than once per week.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a free introductory lesson/evaluation. In this we discuss the student's goals and my teaching methods, and we decide if the student is a good fit in one of my programs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been enrolled in an ongoing guitar teacher mentoring program since 2013. Through this program I am constantly learning how to effectively teach guitar. This is a unique qualification since most guitar instructors have not studied how to teach guitar. I have also studied guitar privately with Chris Morrison, Bill Bickford and Hy White, and I have studied music at Berklee Online. I have been a working professional musician (guitar, vocals, keyboards) for over 40 years. I studied clarinet, piano and music theory as a youth starting in 4th grade, and started playing guitar at age 14.
