Scott helped make an amazing birthday dinner for my boyfriend and 24 of our friends at our home. The food was delicious, everything was prepared perfectly and exactly how we discussed prior to the event. Scott was a pleasure to work with when planning the event, he was prompt, personable and truly a pleasure to have in my home. If you are looking for a private chef look no further than Scott, you will not be disappointed. He's amazing and I look forward to having him cook for us again.

Five starts isn't even enough for my experience with Scott Murray. If you have an opportunity, hire Scott for your event! Here's my experience to prove why: My Mom just turned 70 and we wanted to give her a party on the beach. This meant that the party was in a state that neither she nor anyone in the family lives in. Hiring the caterer (from 300 miles away) was my responsibility. Thumbtack to the rescue! I got three bids and spoke with all of them, but Scott's reviews were the best and his initial menu and bid were the most sophisticated, so I chose him. Scott was super responsive from the very beginning. He had great ideas on the menu and helped guide the decision-making from choosing menu items, to start times and to helping me stay within budget. A+ for communications skills. I felt comfortable and in good hands from the first email, through our phone conversations, right up to the big day. On the day of the party, he and his delightful staffer, Celia, arrived exactly on time and began to prep. They were both charming and fun and efficient. I knew our space was challenging - small for the number of guests we had - but you would not have known that from the way Scott and Celia handled everything. Food was served exactly on time, beautifully, and was absolutely delicious. And the menu was challenging too - lobsters for 22 people expertly cooked, steak that was grilled to perfection (outside, in another location!), amazing side dishes, apps and dessert. Honest to God, I really don't know how they did it. And that's the beauty of hiring this team. They made it look super easy, they charmed all of my guests, made food that was some of the best I have had, and cleaned up after themselves so the place looked better than we found it. The leftovers (which they packed up!) were just as good (if not even better) than when 1st served. I cannot recommend Scott Murray enough.

Scott Murray catered an important dinner at our home in Westport, for 8 of my husband's most important clients. Everything ran swimmingly. Scott has, not only the culinary skills and work ethic that we were looking for, but additionally, he is a warm & lovely person. I would strongly recommend him to anyone.

We hired Scott to cook a dinner for 8 people at our home. The food was wonderful and Scott was professional and prepared. Everyone enjoyed the evening and we would definitely hire Scott again.

I had Scott do dinner for myself & my girlfriend & three couples. He met with me & we discussed a menu. He was very good at helping me choose different & interesting dishes to go with the main course. (I had decided on fish before we met ). It seemed to me that Scott had the know how & the experience that I was looking for in a caterer. The best part was that he didn't waste my time with a lot of small talk, but was also very friendly & easy to work with. Needless to say the meal was great,on time and served by a very well trained & pleasant girl named Jessica. I'm sure that there were a few glitches but I was unaware it. All in all it was a great time and I'll invite Scott & his team back again.
