- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Prices vary. I have to base it on travel time and setup as well as the shoot itself (get an estimating schedule after meeting or phone call.) Then for editing it depends on the length of the source and the desired final version length, or lengths if different outputs requested.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to spend an hour or two scoping out the project. Storyboarding for things like short films, commercials, and music videos. I like to go over shot lists with events like weddings as well as get a detailed schedule (subject to change of course.) I have a whole lighting setup for portraits/interviews on different colored backgrounds as well as being able to shoot great green screen. I am well versed in Motion Graphics for titles and transitions as well as 3D animation. I also have a certificate in audio recording, mixing, removing unwanted sounds, and mastering. I typically shoot with two cameras.
