FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system is pretty straightforward. I charge by the hour; I do not charge for travel time and provide all standard materials. Discounts are available if I am working with a young person more than once a week.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet with all potential clients briefly to discuss their goals and to see if we are a good fit at no charge for 30 minutes. We discuss the student's learning style, my teaching style, and what the student's desired outcome is.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a member of the SSAT Review Board and speak nationally on transition planning, and 504 Plans. I hold a Doctorate in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Master's in Public Policy and a dual undergraduate in Economics and Psychology. This helps when I meet with young people to assess their learning style. I am also a member of the Council on Social and Emotional Learning and frequent advocate at the State House on Education Issues. I was also published at age 8 and received a National Writing Award at age 13. My work has appeared in Sports Illustrated, Allure, and other magazines.
