FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It's not complicated. Mostly I charge by the hour for editing and proofreading because the quality of the writing varies. It may take much longer to edit a manuscript that's not well written. I charge a standard fee for resumes, cover letters and career coaching. My fees are based on the level of experience of a potential client. I don't ask for any money upfront and only ask to be paid (by check) once a client is 100 percent satisfied with my work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
There isn't a one-size-fits-all process. It varies depending on the needs of the customer. But I am more than willing to revise work that I have done if a customer is not completely happy.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a master's degree in communication and a career spent in journalism, working for a prestigious liberal arts college and as a communications consultant. There are almost no jobs in the field of communications that I haven't done -- and done well.
