- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My portrait sessions tend to start between $185 & $200, and then I price accordingly depending on how far I have to travel, how many people in the photos, and how many hours I estimate spending in post-production as well. However I am always willing to try and accommodate a client's budget!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First things first, I always like to find out the needs of individual clients. Everyone is different, and I work to fit my particular style around their needs, whether it be look, budget, deadlines, travel, etc. After we figure out the scheduling and time frame for photos, I always like to get to know my clients a little bit before the shoot. It's not always easy via the internet, so I am always willing to chat over the phone as well!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always had a passion for photography, and truth be told, I wish I had started this years ago, but I was too shy to try it. Luckily, my then-fiancè was very supportive and pushed me to give it a try, and I am so thankful he did!
