I offer remote lessons by Zoom on the following topics: 1. Music Theory. 2. Sight Singing. 3. Ear Training. 4. Harmony. 5. Counterpoint. 6. Composition. I can teach in English or Spanish. I am a Venezuelan composer and experienced music theory educator. I completed composition studies in my own country, and hold a Masters degree in Music Composition from Manhattan School of Music (New York). I worked as a violinist in the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Venezuela for 20 years; taught Music Theory at Mozarteum-Caracas School of Music for more than ten years; and currently teach music theory at Opportunity Music Project in New York City. My compositions have been performed by famous international soloists, such as Ab Koster, Willliam VerMeulen, Lucy Shelton, Dimitri Vassilakis, and the Argenta Trio from the University of Nevada. I won the Municipal Price in Composition in Caracas (2011) and the UNESCO-Aschberg Bursaries for Artists (1999). My works include concert, chamber, orchestral, choral, electronic and incidental music, as well as film scores. I have always loved teaching. I have taught music theory to children, adults, beginners and advanced students. At the Mozarteum-Caracas School of Music in Venezuela, my music theory program was very successful, and my students consistently excelled at accredited college and universty admission exams (National Conservatory of Paris, Hanns Eisler University of Music in Berlin, Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts).
