Carter is a Junior at Brigham Young University studying Chemical Engineering, and graduated from Hopkins School in New Haven in 2019.
Carter finds joy in working with kids and sharing his passion for math and science. His areas of expertise include math through multivariable calculus, as well as science with a special love for chemistry and physics.
Carter served a one year mission for his church among the Spanish-speaking community in Alberta, Canada. There he taught English, learned Spanish, and served in the community. He developed a great love for languages, and in teaching both English and Spanish.
Carter has had a great deal of teaching experience during his time in Boy Scouts, helping younger scouts to learn the fundamentals of scouting.

I took AP Calculus my Junior year and I felt super overwhelmed with all of the foreign concepts. Carter helped me by calmly talking me through what I already knew and teaching me how I could use it to solve the problems I was struggling with. And he always made sure I knew what was going on and that I could do it on my own before we moved on to something else. He is very patient and makes learning fun. I highly recommend his services!!

He worked very hard to make sure I understood exactly what I need to. It can take me a while to understand things sometimes, and Carter definitely took the time to explain, part by part, everything that I needed to know and I ended up understanding everything much better than I did before.

Carter helped me with some math related homework I was struggling with, and as an art major things in the math/science area are usually hard for me to understand. Carter’s help really benefitted my grade but also my understanding of how to do problems I had previously been completely lost on! Not to mention he is also a positive and kind person to be around, which makes it easier to work through the frustration of not understanding a concept.
