FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our office makes it a priority to charge our clients a fair price for representation. Schedule a consultation at our office to discuss your specific situation.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a potential new client calls our office, they will often first speak with a member of our paralegal staff. The paralegal staff gather basic information from the client, who is then called by me as soon as possible, usually that day when I get back from court. Then, depending on what the client wants, we will usually meet in person at the office and go over retainer paperwork, etc. before we meet again for the next scheduled court date.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been working in and around the criminal justice system in the State of Connecticut for approximately 13 years; 8 of those years have been as an attorney. The vast majority of my experience is in criminal law. Before becoming an attorney, I was a clerk for the presiding criminal judge in Waterbury. After that, I worked for several years as a public defender, first in Hartford and then in New Haven. I tried my first few cases as a public defender. I then went on to private practice where I have handled criminal cases all over the State, including trials to verdict both before a judge only and before a jury. My most recent jury trial, which I worked on with the firm's owner, Jason Goddard, resulted in an acquittal (not guilty) on charges of murder and weapon possession.
