Introduction: I always look for the moments that are unique. Whether I'm shooting a wedding, an event or a beautiful plate of food. I search for the element that makes that special.
I have two photography businesses that I run with very different areas of focus. My wedding photography business is called Roots Photography. I also have a food photography branch called Bread & Beast Food Photographer. I love both genre's of photography and couldn't chose one over the other.
With Roots Photography I get to work with happy couples capturing their special day. I love all the details and the moments of emotion. I find I become close to my couples and they take me in as a friend when we work together. This allows me to get close and capture the beauty of the day more.
Bread & Beast Food Photographer focus' on my other passion; food photography. I love to work with chefs, bakers and publishers to create images of their dishes, menu items and article subjects. I've had work published in cookbooks, magazines and newspapers.
Working with couples and clients getting to do what I love allows me to capture in my work all that is special.

All of the words above describe Lisa perfectly! My husband and I were photographed by Lisa for our engagement and our wedding. Lisa offers a sense of comfort when she works and you can’t help but to love her! She’s extremely professional yet you feel as though you’ve known her for years! Every photo we have truly captures the love between my husband and I. Lisa took her personal time to get to know us and love us and I believe the bond we were able to create made it easier for her to catch the little moments on film. The moments others may have overlooked. She truly puts her heart into the job! I felt it from the beginning. Leading up to our big day, Lisa went above and beyond any photographer’s job description. We spent time planning and took a walk through of our day to ensure a great experience. We spent time at the venue. To be honest, I’m not sure we followed the plan exactly (my personal excitement took over!) Although, we strayed from the plan, we fell in love with EVERY SINGLE photo!!! It didn’t matter that the plans weren’t perfect because LISA truly captured every ounce of love and joy of the entire day! Her and my videographer didn’t know each other prior to the event. They instantly clicked. Lisa has such a friendly, down to earth, positive nature! It’s hard to not get along with Lisa. When we received our photos, ahead of schedule, we cried. The photos were AMAZINGLY beautiful. Lisa is top notch. Her heart is in it 100% for your special day. Or any day. Her passion behind her work makes your experience an unforgettable one. Lisa has become such a special part of our lives. I recommend Lisa to everyone!!!!

I could speak volumes about Lisa’s character and excellence in her work. We had Lisa as our wedding photographer and her work was spectacular. She had some great obstacles to deal with the day of the wedding (second photographer did not show up, venue staff was rude to her) and she still managed to give us everything we were looking for. She arrived early to get acquainted with the location and even left left from the event. She is attentive to detail in ways that I had not imagined which shows in her photography. She made me feel super comfortable in front of the camera (which is a hard thing to do) and performed her job with poise and patience. I felt extremely lucky to have her photograph our event!
