FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I fell into being a freelance artist, after being laid off from my corporate job. I'd like to think that Makeup Artistry chose me. I am self-taught, but I still invested money (and time) into becoming certified because I believe in my craft and the skills that possess. I am constantly learning new techniques and new ways to help my clients put their best face forward for their most important events.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Bridal/engagement, print work (models, performing artists, advertising, etc.) and live performance are my most common jobs.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I am very proud of the work that I did for Simoniz Car Services in May 2014. I did work on 2 models for a car show. They need a pin-up look for the event, which I've done so many times. What made the job so special was it was the first time that I'd also done hair for a corporate client.
