What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Private Lessons are available throughout central CT and beyond, at your location or at our facility in New Britain. In-home lessons are $120/hr (total) for 1-4 participants. If you're coming to us, half hour lessons ($60) are also available.
Workshops and seminars for groups from small to huge are also available. Please contact us for more information.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We pride ourselves on custom tailoring the highly effective training we offer to the needs of each student who comes to us. Whether you're a natural athelte or a couch potato, whether you're looking for a basic course or the entire library, we're happy to help you take the next step from where you are right now.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Chris has been training in the Martial Arts since 1986. He holds 4 black belts and teaches 10 different arts and approaches. Additionally, he has also taught in the school system (3 years of middle school math) and is professional ballroom dancer - he was the staff trainer at 4 different studios in CT and MA. In short - he loves to help people learn something new, and he nerds out over finding the best ways to create capable students in less time.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Over the years I've had students of every level of experience, from "never even thought about doing this before" to "training to be the next Ultimate Fighter".
I've had casual clients who do this for recreation; professional clients who need this for work in security, the military, or law enforecement; and clients with serious personal situations that required immediate and swift training. I'm happy to serve any needs that you have.
It is my pleasure to work with clients of all levels of ability - and even disability. My role is to help you find solutions that will be useful to you in whatever situation you aim to address.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Check out as many schools & instructors as possible. Lots of schools will seem "pretty good", but is that really what you're settling for? Find the BEST fit -- after all, you might be spending a lot of time there, working towards your goals. So try out different options.
