- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For Real Estate Transaction Inspections (Typically when a Home Inspector notes a structural issue and recommends that an engineer provide additional feedback), I would charge between $500-$950, depending upon the number /severity of the particular issue. For Structural Consulting for Repairs, I typically visit the site for no charge, then develop a fee proposal to perform the necessary evaluation and prepare sketches/plans for the Conractor to use to make repairs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually make appointments by phone, I try to do inspections early in the day or after people get off work. We will discuss the issue before I visit the site, so that I can be prepared to perform the necessary inspections and bring any special equipment that I might need.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been involved in the construction business for over 30 years, and have been doing engineering work for over 25 years. I am a licensed professional engineer and land surveyor.
