Make sure they are licensed teachers in education. Education majors have studied learning strategies and have the experience of working with a wide range of student abilities. This means they have a higher chance of being able to help you. Most tutoring companies hire students from college that are math majors and have no teaching experience. Remember, just because someone Is good at math, doesn't mean they can teach it.
