Dog Training

Robin is a dog whisperer. She introduced us to great practices and we will be hiring her for more training for our new rescue dog. We highly recommend this business!

Dog Training

Robin is wonderful! We learned so much within the first visit with her. She is very responsive and flexible. She provided us with solid approaches and tactics that work great. Our Husky loved her! This was my first time hiring a dog trainer and I am so glad we did. I would highly recommend her.

Dog Training

working with Robin was an absolute pleasure, she really helped me and my girlfriend come together over our 1 year old German Shepherd and get him the training he needed to be the perfect family dog.
Diamonds in the Ruff's reply
Thanks Robert! Keep working with your pup because training helps your dog to truly understand what is expected of him helping to reduce stress and anxiety.

Dog Training

I adopted a rescue 1.5 year old Collie mix who had extremely minimal training with a handful of areas that needed drastic improvement. I contacted Diamonds in the Ruff and had an initial phone conversation with Robin. She had me write a list of goals / important things for us to improve and tailored our sessions to achieve those goals. The 1:1 sessions we have had with her have drove to amazing improvements in my dog Pepper’s behavior and he ADORES Robin. If you are looking for an obedience trainer look no further and contact Robin today!!!
Diamonds in the Ruff's reply
Thank you Alyssa for the kind words! Pepper is an amazing pup with a devoted mom who loves him! Give yourself most of the credit for following my training advice and for practicing 😀

Dog Training

Working with Tobin was great, she was very patient with us as new puppy owners and with our puppy Milo. After one session of basic puppy training we noticed a difference in Milo's attitude and out own and it has made a huge difference going forward. Would recommend Robin to anyone with dog training questions. Can't wait to do the 5 session training with her.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My prices start out at $90.00 for a private, one hour, basic, in home session for clients within 15 miles radius of my facility. Prices increase for travel outside of the radius and for more advanced behavioral modification. I also have package deals of 3, 4 or 5 sessions allowing you to lower your cost per session and save money.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I start all my new clients with an extensive interview process. I need to know about the owner and family, their dog, their goals, their concerns and answer any questions that they might have about the training.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I started training over 25 years ago when all trainers used the traditional method of training. It incorporated a lot of punishment to get the dogs to comply. I apprenticed for 4 years with a dog trainer named Mike Schultz who was very experienced in the field having trained many working dogs for 30 years. After I felt I could go out on my own, I opened a dog training/ grooming/ boarding facility and ran that for 15 years. I decided back some years ago to learn the new technique (positive training) and attended many seminars and webinars to get a good grasp on the concepts. I attended Catch Acadamy to further my skills and was assessed by their mentor. I continue to attend many seminars and webinars to keep my skills current. I have taken and passed a very comprehensive test put out by the only entity that certifies dog trainers. I can now carry the title of certified professional dog trainer knowledge assessed (CPDT-KA) This title is held by only 2000 trainers world wide! Check out my credentials at ccpdt.com.
