Whether you are just starting out with the guitar, or have played for years and wish to take it to a new level, I will help you exceed all of your expectations for guitar playing! There are plenty of videos on YouTube on how to play Smoke On the Water. Free chord charts are a Google search away. More-or-less accurate TABs can be found on Songsterr.com and UltimateGuitar.com We don't know what we don't know and if the road to greatness can be found on go-to guitar sites, you would already have realized your goals. There is no substitute for working with an experienced, passionate instructor who is committed to helping you reach your own musical goals. I offer private instruction at my student's homes, offices and online. Zoom/Skype/FaceTime lessons are effective for most students, and less ideal for others. Chris is a master at taking my guitar playing goals and synthesizing them into palatable lessons. Under his tutelage for the past two years, Chris's methodical approach has led me to see a vast improvement in my skills as a guitarist. Such an interesting personable guy that my kids routinely interrupt our lessons to spend time with him, Chris is also unfailingly prompt, patient, and down to Earth. No one in this life should be at once so talented and genuine, yet somehow Chris nails both sides of the coin. I truly look forward to my weekly session with Chris and can’t recommend him more highly.

After only a couple lessons with Chris, I have noticed so much progress. I have always found theory and certain movements to be extremely difficult and taxing when practicing on my own. However, Chris breaks things down into a language I understand. On top of this, Chris has always made him self as available as possible outside of the lesson. I never feel uncomfortable or hesitant to ask further questions at any time. As for the"Guitarmalade" sheets and tabs Chris has provided me with, I can confidently say that I am ten times more comfortable reading actual music now. The "Guitarmalade" resources that I have serve as a fantastic support agent for when I am practicing on my own. I have also come to really appreciate this new sense of accountability of playing on my own time, adhering to the warmups/drills and of course learning new songs! Most importantly, every time I have worked with Chris I have recognized a great balance between his professionalism and ability to make learning fun on one the coolest, whackiest instruments out there.

Chris is an amazing teacher. My 9 year old always looks forward to lessons. He uses many approaches to help kids learn and underhand and appreciate music. Classes are always an exciting mix of activities including of course playing music, listening to music, analyzing different elements of music, sharing about reactions and how the music feels, learning how to read music and all sorts of fun jokes are always included. Chris knows how to individualize and makes kids feel proud.
