- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly taking workshops, trainings and seminars to increase my own knowledge and ability to grow. As a friend of mine always said; "if you're not green and growing you're down and rotting." I persistently do things that will get me out of my comfort zone in order to grow. I do this because I will never ask my clients to do anything I haven't done or wouldn't do. In order to grow, we must keep ourselves challenged and supported!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Becoming a personal and professional coach was a natural progression for me. As I was working as a figure skating coach, I realized I was not only coaching skating skills but mostly I was coaching people to get out of their comfort zone, face their fears, release their limiting beliefs about what they could or couldn't do and motivating them to continue to push past all limits. I did the same things when I was training people in presentation skills; whether they had paralyzing stage fright or were needing to present "bigger" they too were facing the same monsters... and that work became my forte... so when I learned you could actually get training to be more effective in coaching people in all areas of life, I immediately enrolled in a program to hone my skills even more. I love what I do and my clients say "it shows!"
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I am proud of all the accomplishments my clients have achieved but I think their testimonials say it best...
