FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a PhD student in Health and Wellness Promotion at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I like helping people. I have celiac disease and understand how hard changing habits can be. I love food, too.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I can test for food sensitivities and advise on ways to get offending chemicals, sugars, and foods out of the diet. I advise clients on the genetic differences, or SNPs, that can reduce their ability to use a nutrient, or create a higher risk of cardiovascular disease. The SNPs interact with our nutrition, but we can modify our diets to reduce risk and increase health.
