I would not hire this plumber again. During his initial visit, he evaluated our Newport Brass faucet and told me there was about a 95% chance that replacing the cartridges would fix the issue. Based on that assessment, I approved the repair for approximately $400. When he returned to do the work, he spent about an hour on the faucet and then informed me that the cartridges he brought were not the correct cartridges. This was frustrating because identifying the correct parts should have been part of the initial evaluation. If the faucet had not been properly diagnosed, that should have been communicated before scheduling the repair. The most disappointing part was the outcome. Not only was the original problem not fixed, but the faucet was left in worse condition than before and is now not functioning properly at all. There was no meaningful resolution offered before he left. In addition, I found his communication unprofessional. He made several personal comments and asked questions that I felt were inappropriate in a professional service setting. Throughout the process, his attitude was dismissive and rude. I understand that not every repair goes as planned, but I expect accurate diagnosis, accountability when something goes wrong, and professional conduct. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.
