I am extremely happy with the work that Tara of Aleweb Social Marketing is doing for me. I have known her for a long time, though we have only been working together on updating my website for the past few weeks. I can tell you that Tara gives 150%, is a phenomenal teacher (I wanted to do some of the updating myself and she trained me how to do the parts I wanted to focus on). She is one of the clearest communicators I know, with an ability to listen and understand what the client is trying to accomplish, while making suggestions of things she knows might benefit them. I knew I wanted to start a garden blog, but had no technical know-how. Tara met with me, asked pertinent questions and came back to me a few days later with lots of great suggestions and ideas. Tara set up my website, tweaked it to fit my requirements, and continues to manage it presently. Tara is very knowledgeable and talented, but patient with novices like myself. She even created video tutorials to help me with my blog posts! Tara is very service oriented and addresses concerns and questions quickly and professionally as well.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It doesn't take much for someone to decide one day that they're going to be a social marketing expert or guru. They can basically get out of bed, put on the hat and label them as such. When you're hiring a provider, for any service, examine the quality of their work. Is it basic? Exceptional? Are they well-connected and practicing what they preach? You can use some sites like Klout and PeerIndex to get a sense of how successful they are at what they do. But don't let such numbers be the deciding factor. Whoever you partner with to help you build your platform has to understand *you,* your business and what it means to build a platform.
