Having lived in Virginia and the Carolinas, and had the pleasure of eating some of the best BBQ the South could offer, I wasn’t confident that I was ever gonna find great BBQ in Connecticut. I’ve tried Hog Wild, Hoodoo Browns, the Wire Mill, Mission BBQ, Pig Rig and countless others. Arriving with a hopeful appetite and, on every occasion, leaving disheartened and disappointed. King of Que is the real deal. The authentic bbq experience I’ve been searching for. The smoked brisket was the superstar! So tender and juicy. Perfectly seasoned, peppery and savory. Fatty and juicy, that it just melts in your mouth. The pulled pork was exceptionally delicious. Juicy, smokey, flavorful with a perfect texture. No need for any further seasonings or sauces. It was perfection. The ribs were fall off the bone tender. They were seasoned with a rub that definitely turned the heat up a notch but didn’t stop me from having another plateful. And those beans! Good lord, you can easily make a meal from just the beans alone. Smokey, savory and hearty. Never had anything like them. They are a must-have! Looking forward to trying everything else on their menu. Thanks again!

The food was fantastic! The Pitmasters and Blasters BBQ event was a blast! I had the pulled pork, carne asada, pollo asada, and street corn. Everything was delish! King of Que’s baked beans are in a class of their own, as are his ribs and brisket. (I have had those in the past.) Going to have King of Que cater my hubby’s 80th birthday. Can’t wait to have his food again.
