I enjoy creating a photo journalistic look to my event photography. My goal is to have my work tell a story about the event that I am shooting. With a little experimentation, I can come up with fun and creative shots that make your special occassion that much more memorable.
For portrait sessions I work with the customer to initially have them be comfortable when being photographed, ultimately aiming to capture their natural personality. I like to use the natural beauty of the outdoors whenever possible but can create a studio environment easily at any location by bringing pro-lighting and a variety of backdrops. Depending on the type of portrait session I will sometime recommend props or special wardrobe.
I love working with people to have them be themselves, be at ease, and generally just to have fun. In post-production, I enjoy making people look their absolute best by encorporating digital techniques to create an artistic look to my work. What I have found is that this creates a network of customers who not only refer me to other people, but call me again and again.

My husband and I were looking to have a maternity photoshoot done this summer. David responded quickly and had a flexible schedule. For reasons unrelated, I did not follow up. Fortunately, he respectfully persisted and we ended up being able to book a shoot last minute, and we are so glad we did! Both my husband and I are a bit “camera shy,” especially in a professional setting. However, David and his wife Nancy were so personable and knowledgable that we quickly felt more at ease and less awkward. We were completely comfortable letting them take the lead and trusted in their vision. Nancy constantly helped fix my hair and dress, and otherwise noticed details in our stances and expressions that we would’ve never thought about. Her advice and aid in combination with David’s photography and editing skills made for a wonderful experience and great photos.
David’s turnaround was unexpectedly quick - I believe we received the finished products in a week or two - and his pricing is very reasonable. He does seem to have a certain editing style that I would recommend looking over (website, instagram) to ensure it is to your liking!
Overall, our experience was one we remember fondly, the photos will be cherished, and we (obviously) recommend David (and Nancy!). If we had not been offered newborn photos while still in the hospital, we probably would have reached out to them to do so.
TL;DR: David responded quickly but I ghosted David ): He persisted respectfully and we booked last minute. We were blessed with his wife Nancy’s presence, who was so helpful (my hair, dress, poses, everything). Reasonable pricing, quick turnaround. Unique editing style (to us non-photography folk). Both were personable and professional. Great experience!

I highly recommend David to capture pictures for your upcoming event. I worked with David for a birthday party on 8/9/2025. I scheduled about 5 weeks in advance, and David made the process very easy, he was very quick to respond with his availability, pricing and terms.
The day of the event - David arrived and became a fluid part of the party, capturing moments in a very natural way. We discussed the 'must have' pictures and David make sure to capture every group combination we requested.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is determined by the amount of time that I will need to cover an event, or for portraits; the length of time for the creative session which includes set up and breakdown. All my packages include post-processing time required to edit & retouch the project and a flash drive of both the high and low resolution files. Travel time is added for jobs over 30 minutes from my home. I can supply props for newborn and children shoots as well. I do not supply RAW unprocessed files to customers.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In the world of emails and texts I prefer to speak directly with new customers, not only to get a sense of what they are looking for me to produce photographically, but also as an opportunity for me to get to know them personally.
What types of customers have you worked with?
A typical job is to shoot private portraits of individuals, couples or families. I also have been doing a lot of events that include birthday parties, Sweet 16, Quinceanera's and Bat Mitzvah celebrations. For many jobs I work in partnership with my wife Nancy who helps with client posing, makeup and hair and acts as my location coordinator.
