- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Rates are simple and posted upfront: drop-in visit $22 (30 min), 30-minute dog walk $25, 60-minute walk $40, overnight stay in your home $85/night. Additional pets in the same household are +$5 per visit. The only other surcharges are +50% on the holiday itself, +$10 for bookings made under 24 hours ahead, and +$5 for locations more than 5 miles outside Stamford. Every charge is disclosed in your booking confirmation before the visit. Payment is due within 7 days of service. Refer a friend and you both get 15% off your next visit (up to $20).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1) You reach out by text, call, or email. 2) We do a free Meet & Greet at your home before any paid visit, so you and your pet can size me up with no obligation. We go over routines, feeding, meds, vet info, and any home cameras. 3) I send a booking confirmation with the price spelled out. 4) I handle every visit personally and send real updates, including what your pet's body language was telling me, not just "we had a great walk."
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a Fear Free Certified Pet Sitter (FFCP), trained to recognize the subtle signs of fear, anxiety, and stress and to keep visits low-stress using techniques like Considerate Approach, Gentle Control, and Touch Gradient. I'm also Red Cross Pet First Aid & CPR certified. Before this, I spent years teaching science, which trained me to observe carefully and never assume I know what's going on until I've actually looked.
