My focus is on the your experience in your garden. What do you want from your garden? I am a life long gardener and teach/coordinate Master Gardeners. I am also the director of the People’s Harvest garden in Pomfret CT, which is a volunteer garden which donates all produce grown to local kitchens that serve those in need. Whether you need a full garden installed, a garden mentor to give you guidance, or just need maintenance help, I would enjoy discussing your project. I also offer Handyman / Home improvement services. I have maintained rental properties and commercial properties for the past 19 years. I am available for the multitude of functions that come under the heading of handyman. Repairs to sheet-rock, deck repair, painting, cleaning etc etc. I would be happy to evaluate your projects.

I had never hired anyone to do any work. As a relatively new homeowner, I haven't had a lot of opportunities to work on my yard. I had a lot of questions which John answered courteously, promptly and professionally. We arranged an in person meeting to discuss the different options available. I gave him the wishlist, which included expanding the size of our existing garden, rototilling and adding soil amendments, planting the now 30x40 ft garden (24 tomato plants, 12 pepper plants, 4 zucchini and 4 butternut squash) removing an old herb garden, installing a new one (11 different herbs), trimming an overgrown grape arbor and installing an irrigation system. He completed all of this work, his invoice matched his quote and he was generous with his wisdom. He promptly returned phone calls or emails. He understood both our intention for the yard longterm and our not impressive budget. He worked with us so that we could achieve most of our goals and afford it. His work was superb. I plan on hiring him again.

John did a wonderful job planting flowers for my mother around her yard (as a Mother’s Day gift). Not only was the work done very well, but he was very easy to work with (especially appreciated in these crazy times). He was just a great listener, understanding of all our needs despite having to work with me over the phone/email since I live outside of the area. He made sure we were aware of changes in the weather and was flexible with his timing so we could plant the type of flowers my mother loves.
