Introduction: I offer a free lesson with no further obligation. I’ve been playing and teaching guitar (rock, blues, jazz and country) for over 30 years. It’s one on one, a personal design teaching based on the student. We don’t use any commercial books. I teach the 3 fundamentals...music theory, learning the scales and modes throughout the fretboard and ear training. And mostly importantly, I make learning FUN

I love learning from Joey. I have never played a guitar before and have no musical talent what so ever. :) He gave me great recommendations as to where to buy a guitar and was even willing to come down and help pick out a guitar that was suited best for me. In our lessons, Joey breaks the chords down for me so that I can understand them easily. He goes over things from the lesson before so that I get it down pat. He is extremely understanding, flexible and a fun guy to learn from. While we are still going through different chords, (I am on my 4th lesson), I look forward to learning how to play songs with him in the near future. I would definitely recommend him to any one who would like to learn how to play.

$35 for 45 minutes
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A student visits my studio for a Free Lesson. We speak about student's goals and we discuss how we will get there. If the student feels good about the session we arrange for the next lesson...one week at a time, No long term commitment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have thoroughly studied Jazz, Blues, Country & Rock for over 35 years. And still studying as a musician never stops learning!
