I have over 35 years of experience in playing,teaching,and performing in a variety of settings and different musical styles . I have a music degree and am state certified in music education. I was classically trained but am well versed in rock, jazz, blues, and present day artists. I believe I provide a well rounded curriculum and service to my students, especially beginners, who’s musical tastes and aptitude will change as they progress. My teaching covers classic training exercises and standard technique and theory practices, but I encourage to play by ear as well, in order to ensure a deeper understanding of expression and how music works.
