FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typically upon determining the conditions of the project I'll price/contract with a time and materials guideline. I'll work up a time schedule based on hours or days and price accordingly.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process for working with a new customer is to access the project at hand and communicate the wishes of the client with the best practices for safety, durability, practacality and cost.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education in college is a BFA in Graphic Design. Good design is the aesthetic and practical utility of all things relating to both visual appeal and good use. In furniture and home design this is important for enjoying and using space and objects together in harmony. My experience in woodworking, renovation and general home repair has been from 20+ years of typical apprentice employment working under veteran carpenters, woodworkers and other tradesman. Also from my 15+ years of experience with working with the professional woodworkers and carpenters associated with two of the best and most noted publications in woodworking and homebuilding, Fine Woodworking and Fine Homebuilding.
