I have been a tennis instructor for about ten years after having a successful high school and college tennis career. I am very flexible with the day of the week as well as the time of day, and I can easily travel to the closest location for you. I have many years of experience teaching tennis to all ages and levels. The rate is $80 per hour, and the total hourly price is the same if you add friends to the lesson. (If you have four participants, it would be $20 each per student) I love playing and teaching the sport of tennis, and I hope I can have the opportunity to be your instructor! Tom has been a fantastic instructor in every way. Our son is 15 and has been struggling to break out of some bad habits that his school tennis classes haven't addressed. Tom has been patient, positive and supportive with Ryan, and Ryan responds to his lessons and takes them to heart. He really wants to please Tom! Tom shares stories of his own experiences and relates them to his lessons. We finally found someone who can assess Ryan's skills and strengths and teach him how to build on those. Ryan feels like someone is finally teaching him all the little secrets from footwork to anticipating his opponent's returns to proper form to get what the result he wants. His confidence level has doubled and he looks forward to working with Tom every week. I'm so happy we found Tom, and that he's willing to travel to Red Oak. He is always professional, arrives early, gives Ryan 100% of his attention and we've seen a lot of improvement in Ryan because of Tom's instruction. Tom Tillotson is a gem!

Tom is the most thorough and fun tennis instructor I've had thus far! His lessons are fine tuned to help any player perfect their game. He really enjoys the sport and teaching so, he is patient and adjusts the lesson to fine tune your techniques. Really thorough!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer the same $75 hourly rate if you have a solo lesson or a group lesson. (If you have 3 students together, the $75 cost can be split $25 per student) I'm also flexible with the price if you buy several lessons in advance.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every tennis student is different. I have a variety of drills for all skill levels, and I can customize a lesson plan for each individual depending on what they want to work on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a team captain for my high school and college teams for 5 years, and I led training sessions for the new players on the team. I have experience in training brand new players and advanced players of all ages.
