Introduction: The players I hire are not only my colleagues, but people I've worked with for years. We don't just play pickup gigs, we work in the same studio and often play together, giving us intimate knowledge of the others' musical habits. Very hard to find in a jazz group these days. At first for me, it was all about playing music. But now that I'm older and I see the effect it has on my client's weddings or events, I'm just glad my art form can make someone happy.
