FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $20 by the half hour lesson, however if you choose to do a full hour lesson, I offer a discounted price of $30. I prefer to be payed either on a monthly basis or bi-weekly (every other week), whichever works best for you. For first-time students of mine, you can choose to receive a special mini-lesson for around 10 minutes for a $5 trial! That's right! In order for you to feel more comfortable knowing what the lessons will be like and knowing what you can improve on, I'll do a demo lesson for just FIVE dollars! What's $5 gonna do to you? It'll give you insight into how I work, my methods, and allow you to make a confident decision in proceeding with full lessons.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My main inspiration for wanting to pursue music is because of my mother (I know, it's sappy). In my sophomore year of high school, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, and had begun undergoing painful chemotherapy. Even though she was in pain, she said she'd always feel better when she heard me sing or practice my guitar or piano. Seeing her son make such beautiful music made all of the suffering worth it. From then on, I knew that music had a strong power that should be shared with everyone. I decided to major in Music Education when I saw my choir director in high school manage an entire room of 40 students and get them to sing in wonderful harmony. Someone who is able to do that everyday must clearly love their job and for a good reason.
