FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I love to read new books on behavior modification and training to keep current. As well as attending pet training seminars.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Honestly it wasn't originally my dream to own a business working with and caring for dogs. I wanted to be a teacher. I took a job as a trainer to make and save some money and go to school. Two years in I realized I wasn't going to be a teacher, at least not of children. I got my first thank you card from a lady in my class. She had a Sheltie that would not stop darting after cars. Once we went over leave it she said she saw a vast improvement until finally she just didn't bother darting after them! In the letter she had sited that she was going to use a shock collar( and possibly surrender her dog) but was persuaded to go to my class instead and was thankful she did. It was this card that really made me realize that however small. What I do makes a difference to someone and that's why I love what I do.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
