We wasted two whole weeks with this gentleman. He came over twice to look at a simple job, 145’ straight-line fence. He does not speak a single word of English so he brought different guys as interpreters who bearly spoke English themselves. He does not know how to read a tape measure; both times he measured the length to be 190’ whereas other professionals measured it to be only 145’ which is what I had measured and told him from the very beginning.
The first day he was supposed to start work, he canceled for no apparent reason. The second day, he texted at 10:30 AM claiming his work van was dead so he would come the following day to start work. Finally, the third day, he was a no-show and after my repeated attempt to contact him, I never heard back, ever.
FYI: After some discussion, I had agreed to pay him exactly what he wanted for the job even though he had raised the price on his second visit from what he had asked for during the first visit.
Jewel (misspelled his name here but correct pronunciation) has been a total waste of our time, effort, and energy.
Save yourself the nightmare we went through with this gentleman and contact others for your fencing needs. Jewel has absolutely no respect for others’ time nor does he possess declared skills in the trade.
