The Math Doctor
About this pro
Great tutor, for an initially unwilling student. Things changed immediately once they started working together. Thankful!Apr 15, 2018Verified
The best tutor I've ever had! Every time we have worked together, The Math Doctor had covered a full semesters worth of material. He helped me get a clear understanding of all the material & truly explained everything. Very efficient, we covered so much material, even in a short time. Great hours, worked with me (last minute) when I needed a tutor the day of my inquiry, went above and beyond. Truly exceptional & experienced tutor that cares about tutees. Followed up with me to see how exams are going/went. I would highly recommend and I will personally be a repeat client through out my math classes.Jan 14, 2018Verified
Peter is an excellent tutor, patient and very knowledgeable. He quickly understands the students level in Math. He teaches in a way that our daughter can understand the subject and helps restore her confidence and love for Math. We are very pleased with his way of teaching and highly recommend him!Jan 7, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? There is no complicated pricing system. I do charge $40 per hour. This price includes a one hour face to face session as well as Skype support between sessions if it necessary.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am always looking for ways to improve myself. Currently I am taking a college course in mathematical methods. it is sort of interesting that i am doing this because I teach at a few different colleges myself. I teach math classes and education courses that help teachers improve their own teaching.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?Years ago, after graduating from college with a degree in mathematics, I was invited to substitute teach for a female instructor at a local private school who was due to deliver her baby. I was to take over for her for the last three months of the school year. I fell in love during this time with teaching math and I really have not looked back since. I truly have been blessed to teach for as many years as I have.
