FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All of my quotes are suggestions -- I can always be flexible depending on the situation. My general pricing structure for quoting non-weddings (events, portraits, etc) is $100 per hour plus one additional hour for editing. If the event is longer than 4 hours, I charge an additional hour of editing for each 4 hour block. So, an 8hr graduation shoot for example, would be $1000 -- 8 hours plus 2 for editing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I want to make the customer as comfortable as possible so he/she is most natural in the pictures. For a family portrait or other group setting I generally talk with the client either by email or by phone -- depending on their preference -- and get a sense of what they are looking for and make sure I know of any photos/poses/locations they definitely want to get done. For a wedding, I prefer an in-person consultation so I can get a good sense of the couple's personality -- both as a couple and individually -- and talk through all the stages of the wedding day to make sure I have a clear sense of what they want for pictures. I'm always available for follow up questions by email reynolds.ej@gmail and by cell phone which I will give the client when we are set to work together.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Photojournalism from BU and have worked in the field for 10 years. I have worked for newspapers all across the country, including DC and Boston, and have been photographing people for my entire career. I especially like photographing people in their natural environments -- family portraits at their home or other location that is special to them, children on the playground, pets in their yards and playgroups, etc. I always love a new challenge and look forward to every new client experience!
