Hi interested parents and students, my name is Minh and I am an experienced and highly effective tutor in the math and science. I having worked at several tutoring locations before (Mathnasium of West Hartford, Hartford Youth Scholars, and Liberty Partnership program), I have plenty of experience working with high school, middle school, elementary, as well as college students to gain the grades and knowledge they desperately need. I specialize in working with high school students to help them effectively learn the concepts in AP Chemistry & AP Biology and preparing them for the AP Exam and relevant tests throughout the school year. As someone who earned a 5 on both the AP Chemistry and AP Biology exams, and then continuing to excel in the college-level science classes, I earned my B.S. in Biomedical Sciences while tutoring those same classes (including the college equivalents of AP Chemistry and Biology) and earning a minor in Chemistry while attending Marist College. I have since been tutoring AP Chemistry & Biology for the past 3 years after graduation with a lot of student success. I tutor these students with pure enjoyment and confidence knowing that I have the developed the skills and verbiage to make learning in all the subjects I teach very seemless and easy. My students have seen remarkable grade and test score increases after seeing me, and none of the parents I tutor regret paying me for my time and experience in tutoring these subjects. What makes me different from other tutors are my capabilities to make complex and abstract information easy to digest and understand. I also know how to prepare my students for exams because I remember taking such exams and can tell my students exactly what to expect. I also teach math of all levels, especially Algebra I & II and elementary math (numerical fluency). The past couple years, I have also started helping high school students stay organized and on top of their work to prevent them from falling behind. I also offer counseling services for high school and college-age students to help me get through the struggles of high school, college, and young adult life.
