ABOUT ME:
I am the founder of ConnectPrep and an award winning Thumbtack educator. I take a modern, strategy based approach to tutoring that helps students understand what they are learning, build confidence, and see measurable results. I work with students across K to 12 and college, including AP and IB, and I specialize in test prep and academic skill building.
TUTORING AND TEST PREP:
I offer one on one tutoring and test prep in all core subjects and most electives, plus AP and IB support. Test prep includes SAT, ACT, PSAT, ISEE, SSAT, SHSAT, TACHS, and SAT Subject Tests. My goal is to simplify complex material, connect concepts, and teach students how to think through questions efficiently. Many of my students reach top score percentiles on standardized tests because we focus on both content and strategy.
SCHOOL AND COLLEGE SUPPORT:
Overwhelmed with schoolwork or falling behind in a class. I can help quickly. Sessions are scheduled around your availability and tailored to your learning style. I work with both public and private school curricula and support students who need structure, accountability, and clear next steps.
LEARNING CHALLENGES AND EXECUTIVE FUNCTION:
I have extensive experience supporting students with ADHD, dyslexia, CAPD, and executive function challenges. We focus on organization, planning, study systems, and confidence, along with the academic content itself. The goal is sustainable independence, not short term fixes.
COLLEGE ADVISING:
ConnectPrep supports students through the full college process. Building a strong college list, activities and internships, athletic recruiting support, resumes, essays, interview prep, application strategy for ED, EA, REA, RD, and transfer, and financial aid and scholarship planning. I prioritize fit and outcomes. Academics, culture, programs, and long term goals. Students I have supported have been admitted to highly competitive universities and specialized programs including direct medical, engineering, business, and fine arts tracks, with many earning significant merit aid and strong financial aid packages.
GRADUATE AND PROFESSIONAL SCHOOL ADVISING:
We also support graduate, medical, law, and other professional school applicants. We help students craft a clear narrative, build a competitive profile, write standout personal statements and essays, strengthen CVs, choose recommenders, and prepare for interviews. We also provide test prep support for exams such as the MCAT, LSAT, GRE, and GMAT.
Teaching is what I love. I take pride in helping students break through plateaus, feel confident, and achieve goals that once felt out of reach.
