Walter Greissle on August 26, 2015 5/5 stars Headshot Photography Verified Review Carmine is a great photographer. I needed head shots and he did them for me at a very reasonable price. He suggested several outfit changes and to my surprise, he took over 50 photos from which I choose the best two. He then did a little touching up and those two photos were excellent. It was a fun and interesting experience. I highly recommend Carmine.

I used Carmine for professional headshot and he was great in making me feel comfortable, because really who likes having their picture taken? I had a lot to choose from and it was a very quick turnaround on the pictures.

I had an unusual photo project and wasn't sure where to turn or how best to go about it. Carmine was knowledgeable, professional, and extremely pleasant to work with.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Business portraits are the only area where I have standard pricing. My Thumbtack response to a business, actor or modeling portrait inquiry spells out the rates and options from which an individual can put together a budget. Commercial still life (product or fashion) is more dependent on the particular details of the project as they are usually unique. It's beneficial to meet and go over the project. I ask questions and offer suggestions about how to get the desired result with the least amount of hassle and cost. I am well versed in Photoshop techniques and offer photo restoration services. Shooting on location is generally more expensive than in either of my studios because of travel and setup time. However, multiple portraits on location can be very cost effective as your staff can quickly resume their activities. Please call for discounts.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

My clients tell me I'm easy to work with. No drama or high pressure. Many portrait clients start out by telling me they hate to have their picture taken or are always nervous or self conscious. I try to make the shoot fun. I show them I pay attention to details they might worry about and details they had not considered. I ask questions and provide anecdotes to put them to ease.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a BFA in theatre production and lighting design. After college I apprenticed to commercial photographers in different specialties. I spent years on staff at Macy's California and other major department store advertising departments shooting fashion, home goods and furniture before starting my own company. I draw upon 35 years of professional experience covering a wide range of photographic subjects.
